I also took three years of Spanish in high school and I can get the gist of it and Italian to some degree of they ever slow the hell down when they speak 🙄, reading it is much easier for all three (including German)

A group of tomatoes were walking down a busy road, and one kept stepping into traffic. His friends kept pulling him back onto the sidewalk but after a while they were annoyed. Finally, the klutzy tomato wandered too far into the street and got smashed by a car. The other tomatoes were horrified, save on, he just frowned and said, “ I told him to ketchup!”
