I fished this lake my entire life from Bakersfield I'm 47 years old I started fishing when I was three and I'll tell you right now with the way this late drops I mean it went from over full just a couple months ago to only look at it now one third full at the most what in the hell that affects the fishing drastically this lake's already been through its Hay Day folks back when Bakersfield wasn't as big in the demand for water wasn't great the lake didn't go up and down like a goddamn yo-yo like it does today yep that affects fishing big time and I honestly don't think they're in there like they used to be I really don't and I'll tell you why because when that lake is low all the spawning grounds are up higher or dry there's no water like in the Sandy areas or the fish usually will spawn all that's left is like mud or rock bottom and they don't spawn in that over time less and less fish are being produced this is what I think is going on hey it's loaded with carp though yeah fishing in Isabella just more often than not ain't very good anymore just too much going on up here at this lake for instance when I was a young boy every summer you couldn't keep the crappie off your hook then hit a bear hook remember that folks then drop a bear hook in the water and then hit it I've been fishing my ass off the last couple years during the summer for these crappie and I'm only caught one in two years what the f*** is going on well those places by camp nine with them crappie like to be and reproduce it's dry there's no water so you tell me to find out or something here take care David Sparks
