For what its worth I mostly cast left and like to reel in with my right. Weird part is that controlling the line with my left hand thumb is more difficult than my right which feels more natural but doesnt work well casting lefty.

Thanks, went on website earlier and seems like good for straiight eyelets and tying a cinch knot. That was the only example they showed in a video. Also they said good for fluorocarbon and mono but not braid. For what that’s worth.

There is a device being sold that helps people tie knots and even thread eyeholes on hooks and jigs etc... I will look it up. Actually thought about buying one myself.

I was fishing in Florida last month and used Florida fish and wildlife website. Put the app on my phone to scout out places to fish when on the road. There are links to what is legal. Walmart/Dicks//Bass Pro have the magazine when you buy a license.

Hello all,
New to the board and wanted to say hi. Been picking up some really good tips from the board so figured I would jump in. Mostly freshwater fishing up in Mass and New Hampshire here and there. Some ocean fishing down Cape Cod (canal) and Boston Harbor. Mostly fishing for smallmouth and largemouth, pickerel and crappie although I call most of those fish like that sunfish. Was just down in Orlando (cold week!) and people were calling them speck I believe. When ocean fishing I look for flounder on the bottom and stripers when they're running. Broke my rod last summer with (maybe) a striper on other end down at canal using a 4oz topwater plug that got taken about 20 feet under and snap rod with last guide clear off then lost the fish. oh well, that's my story and I am sticking to it... Not much success down in Orlando this year mostly looking for largemouth. Told they spawn right around now so figured they would have been feeding up prior. Tried plastic worms, Texas rigged, wacky wormed it too, tried frogs in the pads and high grasses down there, moved on on swimbaits then crankbaits, spinnerbaits and even a chatterbait in the above order. thats usually how I try a new spot, trying not to sppok them and then working my way up to more aggressive and more disruptive methods. I almost never use live bait. Last year I went out out Lake Toho and guide had me using shiners mostly, caught a bunch of Gar fish and alot of largemouth, nothing over 6 pounds though. This year, for people that know area I hit the Fab 5 Orlando lakes and even tried Santiago park in the City. Only place I really got many bites was Turkey Lake and to do that I rented a boat for 4 hours. That was a good day prior to a decent storm coming in the next day. Enjoy your day, folks.
