Woodland Washington!!!! that’s where I do all my fishing. My sister and BIL live right on the Lewis 4 miles up Hayes Rd. But I love fishing for Kokanee on lake Merwin. Gave up on the salmon and steelhead. They’re just not showing up like they use to. I also live in the Bay Area. East bay. Grew up and lived there ‘57-2002. Oh and welcome to the stage😜

Dave I replied to you but failed to do a quote reply. My bad.

As you cross the Lewis river bridge in Woodland, WA, by the gas station, you look to the left we lived in the first house on the river. Drive up Hayes road passed the boat landing and over the hill the first left. Did your sister go to the auction there on the right on Hayes road? If she did she probably met my wife and her friend they were there every week.
We lived in Martinez when we were in the Bay Area. Small world! Thanks for the welcome.

I lived in the Bay Area and fished the bay, and local lakes, Clear lake went out to the Catalina islands on a trip with our company. My last 7 years we lived in Woodland Washington. Fished Lewis River and the Columbia, caught my biggest fish there a 9’ sturgeon. I think it took around 2 hours to get it to the boat, don’t think I could do that today.

Welcome to the stage Sterba. What do you fish for over on the right coast? Fresh or salt? We love photos on here, so when you can, post some.

I’m more into fresh water. We have lakes, ponds and rivers to fish in. Small mouths, large mouths, trout in the mountains, crappie, (best eating In my book), catfish, blue gills Etc. a lot different than the left coast. I lived out there for quite a number of years and did my share of fishing out there. I really like fishing for the humble panfish. That goes back to my childhood in Louisiana I guess.

I just want to say hello to everyone from here in Northern South Carolina . I was fishing around for info on fishing and ran across this fishing site and thought I would join. That is the most fishing I have done since I semi-retired over 8 years ago and fishing was what I really wanted to do when I retired! Sometimes life gets in your way. Anyway, I hope somewhere along the line I can add something positive. I have already learned a few things from some of your post and I am sure I will learn more as time goes by. Your never too old to learn. Great fishing to all!
