Couple of us went to catch stockers today these fish got put in yesterday caught them in very fast water drifting a black Woolley bugger with my old fenwick fly rod that hasn’t been used in 20 yrs or so I was stuck using it as it’s the only one I took on purpose the one fish is 8 inches the other 2 didn’t fit in the bottom of the net

Blaine and I headed out for walleyes this morning and did pretty well. Landed 10 eyes and lost a couple of really good ones. Here’s a few pictures from the outing. The eyes we took ranged from 21-24” but we each lost a couple quite a bit larger. Of course, it wouldn’t have been quite the same without rain for the seventh day in a row but at least it wasn’t an all day deluge.

Beautiful walleye I am definitely jealous haven’t caught any of them in 20-25 yrs but have since caught a lot of big brownies but we don’t eat them you have good eating there

Kinzua is beautiful country if you’re looking to learn new fishing get a hold of John at Allegheny Angler or Allegheny outfitters can’t remember but there an outfitter on the river below the dam they catch monster Browns out if there every year might change your fishing strategy but worth the effort
