I caught more than 5,000 carp to 42.5 lbs in NJ since 1990. They are line shy. If you throw out canned whole kernel corn in the same spot everyday where there’s no current or snags and use 4 lb test fluorocarbon on a three hook rig with no weight and slack line, you will catch carp. I caught 8 that weighed 58.5 lbs this year.
