I was in the marina this morning 3/31/24 and caught some crappie. But for your post I was somewhere else. Sounds like you know all the good fishing areas. Yes I fished Galestown lake a lot and caught many good fish there.
3/30/24 I was fishing this morning and I never seen so many eagles and ospreys. The lake shad are dying and floating half dead all over the lake and the eagles and ospreys are feeding on them. I Tried but couldn't get a good picture of them. Bird watchers would love to see this action. My friends fishing in the marina weren't catching but did catch one very large white perch. I gave them the bluegills.
3/30/24 Yesterday morning it was all crappie. This morning same area all bluegills. Jig, Gulp Minnow, under a bobber. Very windy hard to fish, but not cold.
3/17/24 I was fishing for crappie this morning with Jerry's little gold jig with a 2.5" Gulp Minnow and caught one crappie and two bass with that tinny little jig. So then I fished a ring worm and caught a few more bass. Pretty good morning. People fishing out in the Marshy Hope Creek probably with blood worms were catching small yellow perch and small white perch. Happy ST,Patty's Day!
