My 10 year grandson got this 25.5 pound, 9.5 inch beard with 1.25 inch spurs. Now he tells grandpa that he is ready for fishing crappies. I couldn’t have a better little buddy!!

Great day in the woods!

Planning to go fishing after Easter Dinner. Well, I went fishing or maybe I just floated some bait around...caught three 1# blues...turned them back and whispered..'Send me your Grandma".

How's retirement treating you Hooker?

I am having a blast being retired. I have commitments to planting/growing a community garden. A 'food island' for those in need. Anyone can come and pick. Planted okra, black eyed peas, tomatoes, zucchini and yellow squash, small pantry of canned goods and a kids free library. I always feel great after spending time 'in the dirt'.

Nice catching Hooker! A 4 pounder will definitely test a #6 hook! Good job and thanks for the picture.
I presume that the bait is for Catfish?

Yes sir, I need some fresh fish. Looking forward to a summer full of tightlines.

Live or dead? The perch make very good yellow cat bait alive on trot lines.
Thanks for the photo and good luck with your bait

These little blue gill work great for me dead on a slip bobber rig. I bank fish. No trot lines for me. :(
