This guy’s pricing is a tad over my head. Since the reel handle is aftermarket, I wonder if he’d consider parting with the handle nut for $1.50? 🤔

Stoneman Lake:
Among the fish that inhabit the lake are yellow perch and northern pike.

Stoneman Lake on the road to Flagstaff used to have yellow perch…. Many years ago.

CARP RECIPE:
After thoroughly cleaning the carp, soak it over night in salt wter, parboil for an hour, then procure a good white shingle and put same in a dripping pan upon which place the carp; take several slies of lemon cut thin, and also several slices of fat salt pork and place them in the dripping pan upon the carp; add a half teacup of water, butter the size of an egg, season slightly with pepper and salt; bake in a moderate oven, tasting every ten or fifteen minutes for an hour or until the fish is thoroughly browned; then take the carp and carefully dump it into the garbage can and eat the shingle.

Mouth is way too big for a bluegill.
Down here we call them rock bass. I think warmouth is correct guess.

Heading up to Greer area next June for 10 days. Will surely hit Sunrise. It’s been 40+ years since I’ve fished fished it but the memories are great.
AzRando71 is right about the weeds and wind. High elevation antelope country. We fished out of a John boat and bumped the weed edges with Damsel Fly Nymphs. The rainbows were footballs and the brookies brilliant.
The lake is prone to winter kill depending on the amount of snow on the ice blocking the sun and killing the weeds. I believe the elevation is 9200’. From what I understand the lack oxygenating weeds the decaying remnants deplete the oxygen and a die-off occurs. The lake is restocked the next spring but the species can change and need to put on the feed bag. This is not an every year event.
Not having waded from shore I can’t give advice on what parts of the lake to concentrate on. The wind may be that deciding factor.
