Captain ALWAYS puts you on the fish. On their website it states: "We guarantee you will catch fish." You won't find that in CA! I must have put back 6-8 undersized grouper and about 30 of what they call tom-tats (some kind of junk fish).

Hey Sun, good to see. I'll make a note of this boat when I come down in July. Hope they still run out then. Know nothing about Florida fishing.

Good morning folks and Happy Mothers Day to all of the ladies.

I just popped a breakfast casserole in the oven to bake and grabbed a cup of coffee.

Looks like an overcast day at 61° is what we'll have today. Maybe a shower but at least not an all day rain.

Painting and Cooking

John, an avant-garde painter got married.

Someone asked the bride a few weeks after the wedding, "How's married life, Helen?"

"It's great," she answered. "John paints and I cook; then we try to guess what he painted and what I cooked."

Enjoy your day folks!

Good morning g to all you sleepyheads. Its 48* right this moment and only going to see 58 with rain. So much for Mothers Day brunch on the newly scrubbed patio. Spent hours getting everything cleaned up and now the gang won't even see it. A happy day celebrating mothers. We all have one, they are the reason for today. Have a good one folks.

Looks like we were typing together Doug.

Morning folks! Sorry about that Fly, I know she appreciated the efforts!!!
Soggy Mother's Day but no less love in it!!

So, what have you been putting off for a while? Since you have not started, care to share?

My house was built in 1925 and I live here by myself. Want the whole list? The next big one is chipping the old concrete from uphill side of house where water seeps in. Leveling the little walkway over there and remortaring the base. Hutch only good for cars and the last gas tank job his boss wouldn't even let him take it on. "Too much time"
Up early yesterday, rehearsal in NYC, shopping uptown, home afternoon-potted plants, cut back my 10ft tall driveway hedges, packed it up and to the garbage. Ate a bit of the smoked salmon pate I bought at Zabars, then off to my dear friend's wife's musical memorial. He is my favorite piano accompanist and she was a really good singer. Many people played...from his jazz arrangements of opera for sax and piano to recorded videos of her singing Wagner. Finishing with his jazz trio playing all his arrangements. They were very much in love and she was so full of life, passion and positive energy...not even 60 yet. Not a sad but beautiful memorial.

Went ultralight jigging in the 60 degree Delaware River behind Arm and Hammer ballpark in Trenton, NJ, this afternoon on the incoming tide in the cold rain for the first time this year. Saw two spin out accidents on Route 129 before the tunnel while driving to my spot. Lots of fish 🐠 were jumping out of the river. Only one boat was there. A hen mallard swam nearby with 10 ducklings. Caught and released a fallfish before catching, tagging and releasing a striped bass with a 1/32 oz chartreuse leadhead jig on 4 lb test line. Took lots of pictures. Didn’t see another fisherman. Went carping in the 64 degrees Millstone River on the north shore in Plainsboro, NJ, this evening in the rain. Saw a guy from NY ram the concrete obelisk near the boat ramp with his Toyota while putting on my boots. 3 accidents in one day was too many. Threw out corn 🌽 for chum, then caught 3 common carp with canned whole kernel corn late in the day in the cold rain during a nor’easter. The resident great blue heron kept visiting my spot.

Nice fish!
Traffic was crazy yesterday. Drove into NYC for 10am rehearsal, then up to 80th st to Zabar's then, once I got out of the tunnel Rt. 3 was like a parking lot. No accidents, just crazy people all going to the Mall for last minute Mother's Day gifts, but driving like the Devil was in the car!!!
GREAT shot of the chair. Imagine any one of us Stagers sitting in it, lol!!
