I agree with the recommendation for TaneyComo below table rock dam trophy area mostly serious fly fisherman that respect other fisherman Cooper Creek resort is a short distance below the dam have stayed there for many years really enjoy it reasonable boat rentals don’t give up on roaring river weekdays and catch and release from November to February i’ve been in the park on a very cold morning and had the whole park to myself Love it good luck keep on casting
Hey fellow Missourian enjoy your fishing poems.Looks like a nice catch on the hook and in the seat behind you wish I could get my wife out on the water more she doesn’t like it unless it is catching vs. fishing. We both love the blue gills fond of the Cambell point area on TBR. Fishin the white river below beaver on tue hope 2 send sum pics😊🎣. Thought I was running out of room lol take care
Thank you. Nice spoonbill. The spoonbill I snagged was while I was asleep with a line with a worm hanging over the side of the boat. Snagged him by the tail on 10 pound test thought I had a whale. Lol

Ranger thank you had a great time good luck on your fishing future ventures🎣
After all these great opinions I’m going to have to tell everyone a funny story. Baiting limb lines at night from a boat with my headlamp on I reached for a hook to bait as I did that a 3 foot water moccasin appeared out of the shadow of the bow of the boat about 3 inches from my hand. I screamed like a little girl and backed peddled all the way to the back of the boat. But then curiosity got the best of me since I had never seen one close up so I slowly crawled to the front of the boat to take a peek. and quickly left the area. Moving along the bank to bait other hooks and seeing other moccasins coiled up in the rocks near my lines I called it a night.
Thank you, Amber jack in your picture?
Looks like a water moccasin to me. They are the most aggressive snake I have come across. One of the distinctive identifiers of the ones I’ve seen they are fat in the middle and tapered to the tail and to the head I’ve also heard they’re one of the only snakes that can bite underwater. I’ve had an up close and personal experience with them trot lining at night. Have fun be careful.

Thanks hope your next one is a whopper🎣
