Check with the tackle shops or other fisherman. Some Drum have been getting caught on the northern beaches from Hatteras on up.

The tackle shops are very helpful on the baits, hooks, rigging. I know chunks of mullet on a big round hook has been effective or blue crab.

Hi J and D, I have not been out to try but I am nearby there and hearing of Drum catches and seeing the pictures on fishing reports. I am not sure which areas have been the hottest. I hope to get out soon myself and try my luck. I am planning on starting at Oregon Inlet.

Very funny, I can visualize that scene. I read some place that they used one as a motion detector in case of break-ins. Plus it made it impossible to sneak into the house whenever a family member stayed out too late. He would bust you every time but Don't Worry, Be Happy.

Saw this routine on Tonight, Johnny Carson. Totally cracked me up. The stuff he and Dangerfield did about their wives, priceless !

Oh I know, here's a couple; I was an ugly baby, the doctor slapped my mother instead of me at my delivery...the doctor comes in and I am so sorry, I did all I could, but it looks like he's going to pull through....I was so ugly, my parents sent my baby picture to Ripley' s...they sent it back, they didn't believe it !

And by the way, no one has mentioned one of the funniest guys who ever lived - Buddy Hackett.

That may be true, but I still prefer the clean routines better than the lewd and crude versions. JMO though.

Yes, the dirty stuff is very funny but keeping it clean and still funny takes a lot more effort and creative styling. Bill Cosby used to knock me out in his early days before the controversies kicked in. I also forgot Jack Benny and I am certain many more. Earlier I tried to say Diller for Phyllis but it got changed to Filler..sorry, dang spell checker !

Yes indeed Smutty, these guys were great and we had Henny Youngman too..plus, Phillis Filler she was a total hoot. Out of them all listed all throughout these postings, they all had me laughing and forgetting about troubling things. Rodney Dangerfield probably in my case tickled me the most.

I met Charlie Pride in person when I was in the Army. He was a true gentleman and, all around, super nice guy. I also had the chance to meet Kenny Rogers in the movie “Wild Horse’s”. It was filmed in my home town in Wyoming. That guy was a real A$$. And that’s giving him lots of credit.

Somehow I am not surprised at all about Kenny. The Red story now that was a total surprise. ( I'm an long time Yankees fan, thank you for victories, sorry but I could not hold it in any longer)
