Nice going guys! I'm going to try and head up there next week, in hopefully, a new boat. What baits were you guys throwing? Thanks
Thanks for all the hard work Rhino. And I agree whole heartedly that it was a great time, even without catching a fish myself. I have to say that I really felt welcome by all. Look forward to fishing with some of my new buddies. And seeing everyone again next year.
I too would like to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome. Had a great time swapping stories and fishing with Tom and Jeremy. Special shout out to Rhino for organizing all this. I appreciate all the hard work with this. Look forward to fishing with some of the folks I met up there. And hopefully, next year we'll have better conditions.
Thanks guys!
To all the gents at the recent M+G in Clear Lake, I really wanted to say what a pleasure it was. Special shout out to Rhino for all the work put into this. Great planning and organizing the event and BBQ.
I really admired the camaraderie, inclusiveness, storytelling, and fishing! Even though not many fish were caught, I learned a few new techniques and tips.
Hopefully Sunday was less windy, and better fishing.
Look forward to all the contributions here, and fishing with some new friends.
I have a little inflatable with trolling motor. I generally start on the west side by where the power lines cross, and work my way up towards the dam. Keeping to the edge of the grass. As I mentioned before, keep your eye out for the baitfish jumping. Also the birds diving down on them. Mostly lots of smaller fish 18"-20". Good luck. Hope to get down there soon again myself.
Good luck guys. Look forward to your report!
I haven’t been there for a few months, but have had some great days there. Mostly catching strippers on a silver bass assassin twitch bait. Fishing the grass edges. Keep an eye open for them chasing bait fish, and throw one in.
It can get very windy so be careful.
I believe the 1st photo is a Tilapia. Don't know about the second one.
That's a good plan Nook. I recently had a total shoulder replacement, but did my PT religiously. Now 5 months later, I'm back in the game and feeling no pain. At least in my shoulder! LOL! And remember, you can live vicariously thru our buddies here. Hopefully, Saw will get back to fishing soon. I love reading his exploits. Take care.
Very nice Xmas present! Thanks for the pic and info.
Definitely good info on the inspection! They are VERY strict. I've caught a few small mouth and 1 nice large mouth trolling rattle traps and a wee-wart. Pretty and nice ramp area, but slow fishing for me so far. ENJOY!
You're a good son Steve. My Mom is 97 in a group home in Santa Rosa. We talk every Thursday morning.(She doesn't like to video chat) I try and visit every other week. They took care of us, now we take care of them. The circle of life.
There are 4 other folks in the house, none get visitors. 1 gentleman is 101 and takes a walk around the block most days. Pretty amazing.
To all my fishing friends, Happy Holidays and remember, if you want to be happy, help someone.
Good luck buddy. Looks like it will be sunny and hopefully not to windy. Tight lines!
WOW! Nice fish bro! And thanks for all the info. Hopefully get up there at some point.
