Doing a road trip across country and I’m looking for places to fish along the way. Traveling the 40 out to Georgia. Any maps or apps to help me find spots?

I-40 does not go to Georgia so I assume you will be taking I-24 out on Nashville to get to Georgia. If so you will be going by Tims Ford Lake. I would PM Ivey. He lives and does quit well fishing that lake Hope that's a start for you.

Here in central Nebraska all the talk has been about Harlan County Reservoir and how the fish are practically jumping into your boat.
Well the 15+ mph winds Friday at the dead sea up the road a ways from Harlan made the water a bit choppy for our old 16' boat. But my wife at least woke it a little when she hooked up with a 19" walleye. The water temp was still 57 to 58 degrees.
(I couldn't figure how to attach a short video of the boat ride)

Nice looking fish Oldboat. Not bat for a rough water fishing trip.

Did a bit of fishing on one of the local waters before the really wet cool weather moves in today. Landed 10 bass to 16”, several crappies and a bunch of rockets, lost a pretty decent bass right at the shore. Nothing all that big but still tons of fun on a 6.5 micro lite.

Nice going Brad.

Started the same as the previous day except the bay reminded me more of the SF Bay, windy and a bit angry, settled down to glass after lunch. Bait was quicker and headed to the closer reef vs. the sea mounts. Got there and just like the day before, instant hook ups and fish. After 1 1/2 hours it slows down and the hook ups are here and there. We are all getting better at handling the rods and fighting the fish which means fewer lost fish, but it still happens. I didn’t mention that we rotate boat members, so we all have a chance to fish with one another and the different captains. Each boat did well, not limits, but the fish landed on average were larger. Dinner tonight was Bonita ceviche and sashimi with grouper cooked by the chef’s choice, wow is all I can say. I didn’t take a lot of pics ( more vids) but you’ll get the idea. One more day…..

Almost done :)
All I need to do is glue and screw a 2X6 on the back for the little gas motor and a piece of foam in the front and cover it all in the poor mans fiberglass.

Looking good. Keep it up.
