I haul two fishing kayaks on a modified boat trailer. I have pulled this rig from northern Kansas to the gulf twice now and love it. Pulls like there is nothing back there and much easier to load and unload for an old timer like me.

Just got home from fishing Bay St. Louis, Mississippi in 15-18 mph winds for three days. My Old Town 136 Auto Pilot was perfect for the tides and wind. Was able to hold on spot with spotlock for hours at a time and still cross the bay to get home. Kayak was not cheap but worth every penny. Never felt nervous in the rough water even with LOTS of boat traffic and the boat wakes. Caught my PB 32 inch red fish.

Buy one pair of stocking foot waders and two pair of wading shoes, one lug sole and one felt. Covers every situation and you can duck hunt in them if you like.

I am 68 and have fished for some time from a Native Titan 13ft. (Pedal) Very stable and you sit high enough to be comfortable for hours. Recently purchased an Old Town 120 Autopilot with built in autopilot trolling motor. Old Town almost seems like I'm cheating. Both allow for hands free fishing since I am not paddling and trying to control the kayak all the time. Auto Pilot has spot lock also. Just my 2cents worth.
