Sorry thought I added picture. Not just a fish story lol!!!!!
After a few weeks of catching short flounder, my cousin John put us on some fish today. 23 inches and almost four pounds. Great dinner! Tight lines fellas!
Very nice fish. Send some to DE please!!!!
Hi Dauber, I fish the inlet a lot. Very rocky along the jetties so I have been using spoons and top water lures to catch stripers and shad. Flounder and blues should arrive soon. West of the inlet bridge also has fish but tough on tackle due to rocks. Good luck! Harryb
Agree what you propose is very light. Been using 30# braid and 25# flurocarbon leader for stripers in the Indian River Inlet in Delaware. Using leader because I fish near a lot of rocks and braid is tough to break when hung up in the rocks. Good luck!
My condolences to you and your family.
Thanks Franky, I live in Ocean View off Rt 26. Been catching fish at the inlet for the past week or so. Waiting for a keeper striper!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Craig, the pictures were from Sunday and Tuesday mornings. The stripers were hitting Sunday and then the shad took over. There have been a lot of fish caught in the inlet the last week or so. I fish in the south pocket close to the rocks. Once the beaches open I'll have to find a new spot as that is a guarded beach. I must live close to you as I am in Ocean View also. Good luck!
Those are pretty cool. I've seen Tactical Angler Clips before but the ones you showed look like a good idea.
Hi Pete, I don't eat them because of the bones, they have a lot of tiny bones that make it a chore. A friend told me he has cooked them slowly in a smoker and it dissolves a lot of the bones but I'll pass on that. They are fun to catch especially with light tackle. Good luck and tight lines.
