This is the redfish I was talking about. Is this the same as what you’re talking about?

They work on specs and reds. Sometimes I use them in tandem or by themselves. Another way is to go weightless with just a hook. I’ve had success this way when the trout are feeding on live shrimp and I don’t have any.

The redear sunfish (Lepomis microlophus, also known as the shellcracker, Georgia bream, cherry gill, chinquapin, improved bream, rouge ear sunfish and sun perch) is a freshwater fish in the family Centrarchidae and is native to the southeastern United States. Since it is a popular sport fish, it has been introduced to bodies of water all over North America.

Bass Assassin also makes fresh water plastics infused with the same ingredients plus hog lard if I’m not mistaken. Trout and redfish love it but they don’t last too long.

Was wondering if anyone out there had some experience with soft plastics other than Berkley gulp. I do very well with them but they are so damn expensive. They seem to get torn up very fast and need replacing after every other bite. Would like to find a cheaper alternative .
I mostly use them for trout and redfish in Florida gulf side.

Bass Assassin Chicken on a Chain never fails.
