I'll raise my hand since I do it most of the time. I made an enlarged skeg by bending an aluminum plate in half and bending 2 tabs opposed on top. I riveted a u shaped leading edge in front and attached it with a large stainless steel clamp.

As far as the speed to run your trolling motor, I've found that I like to set the 9.9 kicker about ΒΌ mph slower than my targeted speed and then use the MinnKota with I-pilot set to the target speed on autopilot. Sometimes you'll have to run the bow faster and the kicker slower if your in higher winds, but for the most part, this is where I'd start out.

Good morning Looney Toons.
Grab a Pop-Tart and a Hug Jug of sugar water and get ready for the show!

You better grab a blanket too since it's only 41Β° outside and foggy. We may see 61Β° later today if we're lucky. Speaking of luck, it looks like the rain will be back with us by noon through the rest of the weekend.

I'll run to the local greenhouse and pick up some flowers for Mom and the Wifey this morning and then try to stay out of trouble for the rest of the day. Wish me luck with that one!

A fisherman began to drill a hole in the ice to fish when a voice called out, "You can't fish there."

He moved the drill a few feet and began to drill again and the voice repeated, "You can't fish there either."

After three more attempts he yelled, "Why can't I fish here?"

"You can't fish anywhere here, this is an ice rink."

Your story tells a lot about your work ethics Doug. Was Dad the source for your HVAC knowledge?

Yep! That's where it all started for which I'm thankful. I was able to learn the "Old School" methods as well as keep up with all of the current high efficiency electronics and design of today through continuous training annually. I've found that if you don't keep up on the training, you'll be left behind before you realize it.

Good morning Bob, my dad always said hard work won't hurt a man but working as hard as he did all his life I think he just wore his body out because as a kid they was times that it would go two or three days without even seeing my dad he would go to work around 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning and sometime not get home until well after we went to bed especially when they was having to water the Orange groves by hand laying 4 inch irrigation sprinkle pipe 20 ft long down every other row and then when ever we had cold weather they had to put smudge pots out and have them burning to keep the orange groves from freezing πŸ₯΄ back in the day when kids had chores today me and my brother would get up every morning feed all the animals I would milk the cow and then turn the calf in and let him have his breakfast πŸ˜‚ all before getting ready for school, so yes my dad was one that rolled up he sleeves and made a living for the family πŸ™πŸ™
Hope you have a great day 🎣🎣
Good morning Bob, my dad always said hard work won... (show quote)

Same scenario here Chuck. Dad was out the door before before we even thought about getting up for school. He was a shop foreman at a local fabrication shop. He'd be home for an hour or so for dinner then back off to his evening gig as a local contractor. He worked the foreman job until the company dissolved and then it was full time Construction and HVAC. Amidst all of that, he also sold Fire and Casualty insurance for the Grange Mutual Insurance Company becoming President of the company for many years until the company was purchased by a much larger company. Mom always kept the house spotless and done sewing and upholstery at home when she could. NEVER were there sleeves rolled down in our house!

Good Friday morning! Another week in the books. Hey, it's National Shrimp Day. Have them buttered, battered, breaded, boiled, baked, or bbq'd.. they're just yummy!!

50Β° now, only to raise to about 52Β° with all day rain. It seems like we're going backwards...

A couple of furnace service calls this morning and I'm calling it a week. I've got a desk full of paperwork that needs to be caught up on, so that's how I'll spend my afternoon.

Emergency Repair Kit

Josh was helping Sally, clean out the trunk of her car. Inside, he noticed a bag labeled "Emergency Repair Kit". Looking at it a little closer, he noticed a stick of dynamite inside.

Thinking that was a bit strange, he asked Sally what it was for.

She said, "It's part of my emergency repair kit."

Josh said, "I can see that, but why?"

Sally replied, "In case I have a flat and need to blow up one of my tires."
