Hi Deb, i live in holiday not far from you..been fishing on my small whaly boat out of Anclote doing super good on trout and yellow tail snapper..
I used a popping cork with paddle tails..
My buddy dan got 8 trout one was very nice..i caught 16. Most small but 2 were in the 18” range…All in four hours on the boat..
I have a small boat and go out of anclote park..done very well. Going tomorrow.
I catch bass all over the USA with a wacky rig with a yum dinger 5” in bama magic color..
Glad your here..we are close bye…i am in holiday..but fish all over tampa bay
Snook mostly maybe sheepshead as well. Redfish might come in as well..
Thanks. Fished all over florida as a young man..moved to CA in 1987 came back last year retired and bought a small boat. Loving my home waters..
Really looking forward to getting back on my boat and fish my home waters. Anclote FL. I have been down with a lumbar hernia. Getting it repaired on the 26th.
Today at jungle prada pier in st. Pete i used a gold spoon with one hook not a treble..and used the triangle fishbite. I caught 2 nice grunts, 2 really nice yellow tail snappers and a 15” redfish..all in less then two hours..it was very cold..i also had something very big on and he broke off..i think it was a jack..
Fishbites are a triangle cheese cloth with fish smell on it..
I tip my gold spoon with fishbites all the time..
Its off of 22nd ave n and park street..go early morning..lots of snook.
