That is a nice catch and pic, Dirt; beautiful fish!
It’s exactly the same weight as my PB, caught about 22 years ago. Here’s a pic of the fish and the lure I caught her on.

Sweet, Randyhartford.

Well, welcome to the Forum, Dirt, so does she have you beat?

Yes sir, but I'm man enough to take it.
Got my PB at Inks Lake this spring...a paltry 5 lbs.

Nice. Tell me she caught it on that beetle spin and that Zebco.

Bahahaha. I wondered if anyone would notice her little ultralite rig. Almost as impressive... she was working a 7' spinning rod but it had a little Pfluger underspin on it with 10 lb fluoro. Drag was singing!

My bride hooked this 6-1/2 pounder this weekend and it took her for a ride. She now holds the largemouth PR for the household.

Yes sir! That’s what it is. I’m a big fan of their crank baits as well. Great action and sharpest hooks I believe I’ve ever seen on a lure.

Looks like a great outing! I love me some yak fishing and fluke/softs.
I'd love to find a few new spots like that around here aside from driving up to the lakes. Limited put-ins on the Sabine/Neches/Angelina/Pine Island.
