Yes it was. Didn't know til my daughter called me, said dad did you feel that earthquake? What earthquake? Yeah, me either. She heard about it on the radio.

PM Saw1, he has a place up there and will be happy to help you out. There is a lake up there I would love to go to - Mckinney Lake, it's about 10 miles from Tahoma. The Rubicon trail head is up there. I'm guessing you can drive to it, but you might have to hike a little ways. You would for sure see some beautiful country. I don't know a thing about fishing Tahoe itself. That's a big big lake. Early morning you could head over to Boca, it's over east of Truckee, about 35 miles or so. Lots of trout in there - fish up by where the river comes in.

Taking my Grandson (8 yrs old) out fishing mid July up at the lake. Open to either stream or lake fishing. Staying in Tahoma. Any recommendations for where we could find this boy some fish? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Money fish welcome to the stage can't really help you as far as Tahoe goes but I'm heading to the June loop area Saturday morning I'll be up there for a week fishing all around that area I will ask around for you see if I can find some information for the Tahoe area be safe and have a great trip with the grandson

Thanks Al, I think my buddy and I are trying a new lake this week. One I've heard good things about but never got around to trying. Have you got the Crawdad all rigged and ready? You should have cooler weather up in the hills, and getting away from work is always a good thing. I hope your have a great time.
