So sorry to hear that Brokencloc. The weather is still a month behind schedule anyway, so hopefully you don't miss much.

Since most of my time is now taken up mowing,
My pome time is in the back seat.
But yesterday, pooped out, I just felt like going,
And this trip turned out pretty sweet.
The fishies were up top the first hour or so,
Then crankin was catchin a few.
I think I caught 20, and let em all go,
And one scary thing happened, too.
With darkness upon me, got caught on a stick,
Til then I'd been havin good luck,
I yanked like we all do, it happened so quick,
But dork that I am, didn't duck.
The Hoodler came flying, as fast as a race,
With 3 treble hooks all a swingin,
I froze like a dork, got smacked in the face,
And felt my cheek startin to stingin.
I looked at the Hoodler stuck tight on my vest,
Just knew there'd be blood every place.
But there wasn't any, I felt very blessed,
The heavy lure bounced off my face.

Moral of the story - duck. Just duck. Or don't jerk so danged hard on a heavy, 9 hook lure at dark. Duh.
Have an awesome week, Stage Family.

Fantastic pome, and a scary ending Mike. Glad you had a good day with the fishes and survived the lure attack, without bloodshed. Thanks for the beautiful pictures my friend. 👍🏻

Good Monday morning crew. Back to the grind for this guy..

Its National Apple Pie Day. 🥧 Maybe Mrs T will have a couple on the window sill cooling down.

43° now and 77° later with sunshine.

A water UV light install this morning and then loading to deliver another furnace.

I was talking with the Wifey about when we first met.. I remember I was feeling a bit adventurous so I asked, "Why don't you sit on my lap and we'll talk about the first thing that pops up?"

She's still not a fan of small talk....

Have a great day folks!!

Good morning Doug and everyone.
47°/59° and cloudy here. It's supposed to clear up by noon, but we'll see. Nicest/warmest day of the week is tomorrow, and of course I have a doctor's appointment mid day. Hopefully, after the weekly rain moves out, I can get out Friday.
Happy Monday everybody.

Yesterday I got 3 at dawn and 3 at dusk. Incredible wildlife in between. A bobcat joined me for breakfast during my morning fish. Watched a bighorn sheep graze on leafy greens and saw tons of cranes and water fowl. Nature is so beautiful. Happy Mother's day to all those fishermoms!

Nice catching and beautiful pictures Ryan. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻

Good morning g to all you sleepyheads. Its 48* right this moment and only going to see 58 with rain. So much for Mothers Day brunch on the newly scrubbed patio. Spent hours getting everything cleaned up and now the gang won't even see it. A happy day celebrating mothers. We all have one, they are the reason for today. Have a good one folks.

Looks like we were typing together Doug.

Good morning Jimmy and everyone. Happy Mothers Day to all the mommies out there.

Good morning folks and Happy Mothers Day to all of the ladies.

I just popped a breakfast casserole in the oven to bake and grabbed a cup of coffee.

Looks like an overcast day at 61° is what we'll have today. Maybe a shower but at least not an all day rain.

Painting and Cooking

John, an avant-garde painter got married.

Someone asked the bride a few weeks after the wedding, "How's married life, Helen?"

"It's great," she answered. "John paints and I cook; then we try to guess what he painted and what I cooked."

Enjoy your day folks!

Had a fun day on the water at Blue Marsh Lake. Fished from 8 AM to 12 PM and caught a bunch of fish including LMs, channel cats and perch on nightcrawlers & small worms. Tried 6” shad color soft plastic swimbaits with no luck. The water and air temp were in the 60s along with sun and clouds.

Nice catching DV. Time to break out the Yum Dingers. Watermelon/ red flake and Summer Gill should be working now. Thanks for the pictures.
