I have several that I’ve built myself, to my own specifications. Must rod manufacturers have travel or pack rods. Check out Cabela’s, Bass Pro Shops. Know what you are looking for as far as action, etc.

Read. There is a lot of material on fishing out there, internet, public libraries, etc. check out YouTube. Target the area where you live. Is there a Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s near you? Seek them out if possible as well as local fishing tackle shops and fishing clubs. If you have questions, ask.
There is more information than can be given here. There is A LOT! Good luck and tight lines.
Check out Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s. They have UL outfits. Good values.
You didn’t say what you where fishing for. Bass? Trout? Panfish?
Lures like kastmasters or any kind of spoon, I first take off the treble hooks and replace them with single hooks, usually a live bait hook or another short shanked hook. These are very forgiving and can be retrieved slow or fast or any where in between.
Jigs are also good along with sassy shads and small swim baits.
Tight lines. Starting then young is the best. The smiles on their faces are priceless.
With your 5’ Ultralight spinning setup go down to 2lb test line. Tie directly on your line a #10 or 8 and put on as many salmon eggs as you can. There should be enough weight to cast up stream, into pools, etc. watch your line for any sign of movement.
Tight lines.
Nice, but I put everything away. No exposure to the elements, air, light, etc.
