Hey dusty Allen what’s your thought on using thrown away Christmas trees clean all the decoration mess away weight and sink them for crappie structure I don’t know but if it’s an option there will be a lot sitting on curbs just ride with trailer and load them up I heard that this works well just wanted to get your thoughts on it haven’t tried it yet but if you place them strategically and you are the only one who knows the location it would be a future honey hole for next year

In north al myself and I know how hard they are to find try looking for deeper structure on your sonar that’s where they like to stay when the temperature gets high

Never broke an ugly stick they hold up well even to the bad cast in the trees and jerking baits out

Seen that on an ad here it’s the one where the guy is standing beside a Stringer taller than him suppose to have all the best secrets for crappie for a price just in case you are desperate enough to pay for the info

Hello not the greatest crappie fisherman by no means but I do know they are hard to find in the summertime because they tend to stay real deep but I heard a spy trick to find them that sounds promising but kinda stupid also haven’t put it to the test but it’s worth a try unfortunately it relies on You finding the first one the take a hook with several feet of line and a regular round bobber hook that one in the skin behind the dorsal and let him go in theory he will swim back to his buds and you follow the bobber till it stop and fish there and ok. I know how stupid it sounds but desperate times call for desperate measures hope it helps plan on trying it myself next time out

Thanks for the welcome bill living in the Decatur area myself and as I said before there is a lot of great fishing in this area I’m sure if your a fisherman in Alabama you know how good the bass fishing is in smith lake and on the Tennessee river and myself very little basic knowledge about which baits work best under different circumstances any basic knowledge advice would be most appreciated

Thanks ev1 it’s just I lack the basic skills of knowing what bait works the best for the given condition and don’t worry about relaxing because I enjoy just being on the water out there whether the fish cooperate or not but it’s always better when you are catching fish

Thought I would go ahead and introduce myself and tap into the vast knowledge bank that lifelong fisherman would have as for me well I’m older now and find myself with plenty of time to fish but having had to work my whole life to support my family I never had much time to fish which I really love to do so my skills are very limited as to which bait works best at which time or conditions ect
I am lucky to live in north Alabama where there are great fishing rivers and lakes for bass so if anyone wants to share some local knowledge I am like a sponge taking everything in thanks in advance and have a blessed day
