Personally I use snap swivels on almost everything. The only exceptions I can think of off the top of my head are jigs and plastic worms/creatures

Right on Bmech1

I had not thought of using a bb swivel between braid and leader. Makes perfect sense. I usually direct tie as bass fishing usually have several rods tied differently. Only time I use a snap/swivel is if searching for a pattern and needing to change color or pattern learning what the bass want for lunch that day. Then direct tie, especially after landing a good quality fish. Thanks for the tip!

I found this style of snap, and they also make it with a barrel swivel, easier for my aging fingers to operate.

Are you using down riggers for Kokanee? I have one downrigger and a fish hawk, but my boat has no trailer or motor. So I would sure like to go with you there next time you go

I would be interested in your attempt at pickling as I have had the same idea….

I have pickled fish before (perch, tilapia) and they were good. Here is the video I followed and it turned out fine. Those onions are the best.
