Im live in Orlando,Fl. now. But from Northern Va. Caught snakeheads in the Potomac River alot. Top water frogs, they love fogs and shad. Swim baits was my favorite. They fun to catch, great to est. They are invasive and do not release. We have the bullseye snakehead in southern fl. But dont get as big as the giant snakeheads in the Potomac. Average 10 to 20 lb.
I live in winter park and Bass fish the Winter park chain alot. Might be able to get you out depending on when you get in here and my schedule. My email is

7,6 is longest I use for a fliping stick only. I think 8 is too much and I don't know how tall yo UK are, it matters.
See what boat is rated for max Hp, thats what I would put on it. It will handle all load safely.
I have three. Love them. Only problem is the rod tips have come off ok n each one and I put new ones on. They are very light weight but have great backbone.
After I spool a real with braid I put my hook on then put the hook on something then with a somewhat tight drag. Allowing line to come off drag, I pull line off to make it tight. Then reel it back on tight. Then you won't have that problem any more.
Looks like Crappie, shad seem to ball up more.
I have a mask and snorkel ready.
Welcome papa, I live in orlando area. Tons of places to Bass fish. I'll be about an hour east of you.I do a little salt fishing but my boat sticks to the lakes.
Every time I spool a reel, I stretch it out. I have a swivel tied to boat trailer with 65lb braid. I tie the new line to it then walk off at least 50 yards with a tight drag, enough not to break new line. Works for all reels.
