Thanks OJ and Steve! We aren't catching giants but it's pretty darn good with almost every fish between two to three pounds, and a couple of fours each trip, it's pretty darn fun! I'll take a 15lb limit all day!

Another great catch fest Steve and crew! That's a beautiful Smalljaw George 👍🏻👍🏻
It looks like you have the retirement thing dialed in perfectly Steve, glad to see you enjoying it buddy.

Thanks Fred! Saw some early spanners, finally a full week in the 70's and a full moon should make for a special trip next week. Wish you could enjoy it with us!

Still above Water, The Bus, and I made a one night camping trip at Berryessa on Monday and Tuesday. We caught 16 fish on Monday and 13 onTuesday even though we were blown off the lake by 1 pm. My streak is alive and well with 6 trips catching a limit or better since retirement.
We had a couple of visual treats in seeing a few beds, a lunker bass sunning in a cove, and an Osprey and Bald Eagle going after the same meal!
Next week is warmer temps and a three night, four day fishing trip at Berryessa. Then a one day trip on Friday to Clear Lake with my friend Bill. I'm living the dream right now guys!

Hope everyone is having a good day. I'm just wondering when you are fishing with lures and not getting strikes, how long do you wait to change to a different lure? Really curious to see if I'm waiting to long, or not long enough. I usually change out after about a half hour.

I generally have 4 or 5 baits tied on and will fish each spot with multiple baits. If I'm not getting bit on my drop shot or Neko rigged worms I will change colors often. It's easy to just pull a worm off and try another. I used to just beat the water with the same worm until someone taught me to listen to the fish. If they aren't biting, what are they telling you?

Well the water level is coming up but not back to normal yet. If they keep letting water in, should be back by the middle of next week.............hopefully. Went out Monday and today and caught a bunch of small ones. There have been reports of some bigger fish being caught (4-6lbs), but they are few and far between. Myself on Mon. caught 8. Today, Rick 8 and me 12. They were all small, but it was a beautiful day and we had some fun!

Go get em buddy! The fishing has been heavenly up North!

thats funny,, do you feel better about yourself that you got to correct my spelling.. now how about a striper report.

Lol... don't get butt hurt gd! You are number 98,456 to spell Striper wrong and get teased over it. It's a tradition here on the Stage. I haven't gone out for Stripers yet this year but reports are coming in from all over the system. It seems bait is best but also jerkbaits are doing very well. Supposed to be one last storm this weekend then warmer temps to follow. That will be GO time!
