Try shad imitation colors, perch pattern,
bluegill, even crappie ep. I fish southern wisc, these work well for me, shallow to mid depth, chartreuse in deep water, or a rattling crankbait, 10-12# fluorocarbon, 7'-7'6" medium action fiberglass for deep, composite for shallow to mid depth
The Tokyo rig can be flipped pitched and used like a Carolina rig
Glass bead but that is my preference
You can use with medusa's small ones jerkbaits and bucktails
If you 2 tungsten weights add a bead for sound, try (2) 3/8oz ones for 3/4oz rig works in all types of conditions
Just heard uncle joshs is coming back with pork trailers in #11 size, from Matt b, Gillespie fishing Wisconsin
I only have st croix rods for over 20 years, great rod for all around musky fishing, but keep good strong line, 80# test, 175# leader, and a good reel, good luck
I use rapala dt series, haven't tried Berkley deep divers yet
Watch denny brauer on you tube, the master
I use a pair of fiskars scissors to cut my braid just 5" in size works great for me
Northern Wisconsin is hot for musky fishing with suckers
8'medhvy rod 100#braid, good 175# leader, try #8 bucktails, they offer more sound in water then #10, Abu garcia 6500 c reel or diawa lexa with power handle, great for covering water
I have tried a carolina rig, but with 3 knot to tie , I have found a alternative way of rigging with only one knot, I use a Carolina keeper with beads, sinker, and hook, can be bought at bps, and cabelas , tip learned at a bass technique fishing school, over 20 years ago still working todsy
I keep mine in original bags but all of them in a storage container, can be bought at any store home depot. Lowes etc.
