Did you weigh that bass before or after you removed the shad. Can you call that a double?

Just back from CC 2 1/2 day trip. 3 of us fishing. Total tally about 150 black bass and hooked up on one gator(broke off of course). Caught most on shallow flat by dam gates. Mostly short males. But some 2-3 pounders. Also on rock ledge near bouys at dam. Larger fish including one 8.75 lb’er. Full of eggs. Late spawn this year. Caught a good number on points off large peninsula mid lake. Bigger fish there as well.

Heading to CC tomorrow. First time on lake. Will be targeting black bass. Appreciate any advice on fishing locales on lake. Also places to avoid due to low water. Thx
