New to this forum. As of late the crappie are somewhat scattered. I haven't been catching big numbers, normally 5 or 6. Including a 2.1 lb 15 inch on Saturday March 11th. My last two times out they were all loaded with eggs. There are still some on the 1097 bridge and I have been catching them close to the pilons sitting at 12 ft deep in 24 ft. of water. I have caught them on jigs (black/chartreuse and pinkhead/blue glitter). Also been using small shad, and even caught them on dead shad later in the day. I have also found them sitting in standing timber in 19-20 foot of water in creeks also at 12 ft deep. New to Livescope which has helped me find the correct depth for crappie. I will say I have caught all species on the bridge pilons while hunting crappie including hybrids, white bass, catfish, large mouth, nice size blue gill and even gasper goos that were higher in the water column than I have ever caught them at 16 ft. Livescope definitely increases your catch.
