Nice going guys. Your son matched my PB from North Creek last week at 22" also. Only found 4 trout all week but well over 70 flounder in that 12" - 14" range were brought on board. Had a keeper 7 of the 11 days I was there.
Safe to say I enjoyed NC fishing.
WTG on the PB Plum! Sounds like you had a great time as well. I told the boys we were gonna need to target species where we could keep more than 1 fish/person/day.

Awesome catching Drummer. Glad you and the boys did well. Thanks for the pictures.
Thanks Fred. Spending a couple of days on a 18 ft boat with 3 of us slinging hooks is a great way to build trust and bond with one another. Here is another picture I thought I had in with the original bunch. Sunrise on the Pamlico

I applied for the NJ Skillful Angler Recognition Award after 1 AM today, then received the award before 10 AM. NJ State Employees are outstanding.
That is fast Bands. North Carolina only issues citations (the good kind) once a year in January. Catch a qualifying fish and report it in January this year, get your paperwork NEXT January.
My son, SIL and I had a very productive first couple of days in the two week flounder season here in NC. We limited out both days, with new PBās for me of 24ā and my son of 22ā. We also caught slot red drum and 2 of us caught our limit of 4 speckled sea trout one day. Dawson Creek was very productive for us and the bite was on mainly during the first couple of hours after sunrise and before sunset. We caught a lot of undersized fish as well. Was a great time.
Paddle tails in Fried Chicken, Cajun Chicken and Pearl White, along with green and black, and green and chartreuse curly tail grubs were what the fish were going after. We worked big schools of menhaden in and at the mouth of the creek. We didnāt have much luck doing that but lost a bunch of paddle tails just behind the hook.

NO need to wade at either of those places. Lots of time the best fishing is just outside the breakers.
I agree with you Flytier, read the beach, find a trough and thereās usually no need to cast more than 30 yards. A lot of times thatāll even get you over that first bar.

Looking to find out how the fishing is at Chadwick Shores, Sneads Ferry N C.

I liked the strawberry Carnation Instant Breakfast. Put together a lot of model planes, cars. Tang was a big deal.

Thanks for the pic Gordon. I spent a day in Yellowstone on a cattle trip 25 years ago. One of the best days of my life. You definitely see things there you canāt see anywhere else. Beautiful place.

Wow. That looks like it could hurt! Glad he saw them before he stirred them up.
Hey Arnold, welcome to the Stage. Canāt help you with an up to date report. My grandparents had a camper up at Dale Hollow back in the early ā60ās. I caught my first fish there when I was 4. I went back there a couple of years ago. Still beautiful place there in middle TN. Good luck to you. Send some pics of your trip.

I have a season pass for fort fisher and enjoy the fishing there on the 4x4 beach. This is my first season surf fishing and I love it, Iām originally from Michigan and understand how to fish there and what Iām catching in the fresh waters. Any suggestions or tips for fishing would be greatly appreciated
Welcome to the Stage Jeffery. A simple high/low rig with circle hooks and fresh shrimp will land you a wide variety of the fishes in the water there. āDonāt be a clown. Air downā. Donāt forget to let some air out before you drive in the sand. Flounder season is coming up soon, so be sure to capitalize on that. Good luck to you. Send some pics of your successful ventures. Tight lines.

Used a jig head with a shad on it.
Looks like a great day on the water. Lots of good sized fish and you got to take advantage of a little shade from that bridge. Congrats to you and your crew.
