You can also find it at Island Dr on weekends, a vendor sets up a little hut, right where you turn on Island Dr, can't miss it, or just buy some Fish Bites synthetic shrimp, it work's, last a long time on hook too, doesn't pull off easy, I think the pier sells it, also Reel Outdoors tackle shop.
Welcome aboard DD, you can buy fresh shrimp at Phillips Seafood in between the 2 bridges in Swansboro
Welcome aboard SWF, yes the wind has been crazy, my boat's in the shop right now, so I'm out of the action, won't be long before the king's come Inshore, Mahi too in middle of summer, much closer to reach them. These gas prices hurt, so I won't be running to far except once in a while. I wish you a great season, awesome fall(weather permitting) , stay safe. 🦈
Welcome aboard Smack241, you're right in the middle of plenty of fishing man. Find the oyster bar's close to deeper holes and you'll find specs and reds, flounder too, but don't keep one until season. Make sure you're up on the current fishing regulations, use hard baits, soft paddle tails, jerk shad, live baits, cut bait, etc. Talk with your local tackle shop and get more precise info, they can point you in the right direction, good luck!
Welcome to the forum PT, I'm sure you'll get some good help on here, but I'm only into saltwater now, good luck! 👍
