I was a quick learner in every other subject that I ever tried, Plum. But very slow on the up-take when it came to this one. Probably due to my logical nature, if it makes sense,it must be correct! WRONG!!!!!!!
Oh well live and learn?

It is amazing how much experience we have if you add us all together! But we still have a lot to learn. Haha

On Lake Conroe, I had already launched my boat and was waiting on my friend to get back from the restroom. An elderly couple arrived at the launch with a brand new 18 foot boat. It still had dealer tags on it. Anyway, he got in the boat and she was backing the trailer. She was coming into the water too fast and he yelled “whoa”. She thought he said “go”, so she did. She dragged the boat about ten feet up the launch ramp with the back of the boat on the pavement. The old man kept his cool and was explaining to her what happened. The SS prop had drug on that concrete but not bent a blade. Me and my friend went to help them but they still wanted to go out in the lake. We tried to talk them out of it but they wanted to go. So I tied the prop to where no blades were touching the ground, but the skag was so when she backed that boat back, the noise coming from that boat motor almost made me sick. We untied the prop but by the time they got the boat in the water the old man had changed his mind and decided to drive it back on the trailer and go home, so that’s what they did. I’ve often wondered what they’re conversation was about on the way home.

I can only assume launching a new boat with your wife is a lot like backing up the fifth wheel with your wife. I recently heard there are only two ways you can argue with a woman and neither of them will work. Just saying. Enjoy!

I don’t fish enough to satisfy my girlfriend so I’m taking the next two weeks off and we are going fishing everyday, I guess she might be addicted too much but I haven’t gotten bored of fishing with her yet she looks too good in her shorts lol

You might be more addicted to the shorts than the fishing!

The bigger the bait, the bigger the fish!

If truth be known we always have a little conversation with the fifth wheel before we head out. She does take good care of us. But talking to a boat??? Well that's just crazy. Haha Does anyone remember the show My Mother the Car?

As early as you feel like takin em. Just remember to put their PFD on and that you have to WATCH them and help them and NOT fish yourself when you take them out. If you're fishin yourself you can't devote enough attention to them and it just takes a second for accidents to happen and then it's too late. Especially the older we get.
Once they know how to swim and can bait their own hook they don't need quiet as much attention and you should be able to fish with them. Just my opinion.

That whole work thing is over rated. Lol

It really is. I could get so much more done if that work thing didn't get in the way. But then again I wouldn't have anywhere to do it if I didn't go to work. Kind of a catch 22 thing. Oh well.

I purchased the lucky fish finder from Amazon. Used from the pole and also tied to the raft. Works good for the price. Especially nice when you are at a new place and want to know how deep and what the bottom looks like. It shows fish and even the water temperature. It won't catch them for you though. But glad I bought it.
