Went down to Carson City today shoppin and on the way back here this evenin bout a 1/2 mile from thr house there was a black bear on the side of the road. It wanted to cross but we scared it off . It stopped a little ways off and I believe it went ahead and crossed after we went by.
So we get home and I'm unloadin the truck and I turn around and there is another different bear bout 15 feet away from me.
I told it to go on and get out of here but it was a young bear and didn't understand Texan for scram.
After I unloaded the truck I needed to spread some soil around the front yaed and it kept me company for bout a half hour.
I took a few pics of it before it finally decided there wasn't any food for it here and went on up the street to the neighbors house, where it started eatin the grass in his yard and laid down in his front yard.
Eventually it wandered on off. But it REALLY wanted to go in our garage and look for food. I had to run him off from there but he stayed around for awhile to see if he could get back to the garage.

Like anything else at this level, it's all about the $$. No surprise that Garmin, Lowrance, and Humminbird pour who knows how much sponsorship/advertising money into these tournaments.

Yep. It's not costin the Pro fishermen and money. They get all their stuff FREE and the companies get all the advertisement from the pros usin THEIR stuff in the tournaments.

Do on to others as you would have done on to you, if I remember correctly. It's been awhile other than my church

Yep, Mathew 7:12. What is known as the "Golden Rule".
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Mom's advice "If you don't have something good to say, don't say anything at all."

That's how I always try to be.
If others did the same, what a nice site this would be.

Picked up a few small bass and the usual snot rockets today although the catching was a bit off. Saw an immature and mature bald eagle at separate times along with an osprey. At one point I was fishing on the lake’s outlet and this muskrat popped out from the stream side of the pipe directly beneath me, thought that was pretty cool. Overall a pretty slow day, we’ll see what tomorrow brings.

The Muskrat reminds me of a time I was fishin the West Fork Carson River and I was standin on o big flat rock under this old bridge.
I was castin out in the faster water and I noticed somethin crawlin out of the river onto MY rock.
It startled me for a second and then I realized it was a little Mountain Beaver.
It just wanted to rest a few mins on my rock and take a break from swimmin upriver.
In just a little bit it got back in the current and went on it's way up river.
Was really neat to share my rock with it for a few min. It was only bout a foot away from my feet.

That's funny right there, Saw. I confess that back when I was in like 6th grade, I got mom for Mothers Day a brand new sponge mop to replace the old ratty one she'd been using. Couldn't understand her meh response. R.I.P., Ma.

Yeah DC, I think we all, at one time or another, have been guilty of something like that.
Hopefully we learned before we married and didn't make the same mistake with the wife.

I figure anyone could take their wife to breakfast or lunch for Mother's Day but I wanted the day to be special so I took the little women fishing at the pond. Still a little slow but caught 8.

Hmmm, doesn't appear that she's fishin.
At least it wasn't a vacuum cleaner. LOL!πŸ˜„πŸ€ πŸ‘

Went to berryessa yesterday. Started in the usual place, skiers cove to inside the narrows then out to the main lake. Marked most fish between 20 and 40 feet. Unusual day, hooked 12 fish and lost seven, landed 5. Landing ratio is normally better than that. Trolled between 1.8 and 2.5 mph depending on gear out. Got most hits on the usual the usual gear, 5” blue UV sling blade and a 2 1/2’ 13 led fluro leader to a blue/white glow wiggle hoochie at 1.8 mph. But did pick up a few with a modified meat rig with 8” pro troll flasher, or a spin doctor in front of cut plug. The last fish in the limit was a 23” trout!

We did 5 days straight of fishing, an average of 7 hours a day on the water (some more, some less). I’m not sure what was more tiring, the boat rides or the actual fishing. May rethink that if we go again………

NOT a big fan of rough ocean boat rides.πŸ€’πŸ˜°πŸ˜«πŸ‘Ž
