There is an area my family went to every third week of August for a one week camping and fishing trip. The area is just outside Yellowstone Park on the Montana/Wyoming border and is full of lakes left behind from the receding glaciers of the Ice Age. The lakes are mostly small but at least at that time were full of fish, generally brook trout and usually not so big but when you’re 8 big don’t matter so much. As memory serves, on good days, we would catch between 30 and 50 fish in a day. The limit was 10 pounds no number limit on brookies and we were fishing for our Friday meals for the winter. Last week my nephew sent pictures of one of the places we camped and fished and I want to share them with y’all. I’ve not seen this place for over 60 years…Life has been good to this old man.
