Don’t worry he went strait on ice and to the cook out on Fourth of July with 6 of his friends all in regulation size and limits .

Love fishing local native creeks around that time there’s tons here Madison county buncombe county area the stockies seem to taper off about that time .

Well I’m a chef out here slash fishing guru so if you ever come through I can take people places most don’t even think exist . I target trout for the table as well

I also live in wnc not far from there and fished there plenty good ole sweet corn if in a pinch never fails on stocked trout , red worms are great too but war paint minnows and crawfish never fail ever !

Should be a screw on one side put the pin in and the screw goes in the other side . Don’t have a photo to help explain.

At high tide there are a lot more snags(for me anyway) but fish come way closer in to feed . I will fish any time any day. Just enjoy your self and find what works best for you ! Most of my experience is in Bermuda with mid Atlantic fish might be different there .

The ugly stick gx2 combo medium 6’6 rod with Berkeley mono 8lb line, is an absolute fish slayer and is my go to from the stream to the lake I have many smaller and larger rods but this is my perfect can only take one this is it . Best bang for the buck in my opinion.
