We pretty much do the same thing 4 bonito commercial and mackerel a cane pole with about two feet up line attached to the end and a feather with a hook no Barb and more on a 45 it was called a pick though some Chum in the water start figure 8 we catch a lot of fish that way

They're pricey but you can't beat Phoenix elixir or the dragonfly are there longer rods if they're great to fish for trout with we primarily fish with jigs and 2 pounds XXX izorline I've caught trout up a 10 lb here in San Diego in our small lakes you fish with these rods and you wouldn't want to fish at anything else

Figure eighting is a real fun way the catch bonito in southern California did it for years as a kid in King harbor right off the dock we will use a small feather called a pic used to do pretty good commercial for bonito they have to be 25 inches or bigger anyways figure 8 it's a fun way to catch fish

We do a lot of stock trout fishing here in San Diego in the winter months we fish 2 lb test izorline XXX it's hard to break strong stuff we fish mini jigs hookup baits 1/32 all small jigs in these small lakes and ponds when we fish nightcrawlers we blow them up we use a size 18 treble hook a very short leader in the small lakes and ponds no longer than 5 in

Nothing better in the summer surface iron fishing for yellowtail and Tuna in the winter months great trout fishing in the local lakes they're small put the Fishing great on mini jigs

We fish to pound test for trout up to 10 lb Wii u size 18 treble hooks most of our fish or caught on hookup baits 132nd we fish short leaders when we use bait trout are line shy only sometimes will use four pound test
