Good man. I had about 10 white perch in a bucket earlier this year
I stopped on the way home at my local Chinese store and as i was sitting there waiting i asked the lady if she would like some perch. She said Oh sure. I brought the bucket in and she went crazy that they were still alive. She said how many..i said take them all..she gave me a big hug and took them in the back in a big pan and they were going crazy back there..lol. she took $10 off my bill. I said you didnt need to do that they were for you. Just to see them smiling and happy made my day.

Nice catch. Bluegills and flounder are about the only fish my oldest sister likes. I give her all my bluegills..she has to buy her own flounder..lol..do you fillet or pan dress your bluegills?

I always like a moving tide no matter what it is. But some areas i fish the fresh clean water coming from the ocean into canals or rivers during a high tide triggers a bite. Then also a falling tide back in the marshes triggers a good flounder bite with them feeding on bait being washed out of the grass and marshes.

I’ll read through the reports - hopefully the bay is thriving!! Thanks.

Sorry but the bay is not what it was. My opinion they killed it when they built those reefs. What good did they do? Any fish left in the bay that moved to those reefs are hard to fish for. Expect to loose lots of tackle. The keeper trout are hard to catch..only allowed 1 per day. Why not just close the fishery for them?.. i guess if you want to catch some spot and small croaker and maybe a kingfish bowfish or some other odd fish you can make a day of it. Good luck

Dont worry about releasing the catfish. They look like bullheads which are not an invasive fish..only the blue and flatheads are invasive. As for soaking them in milk thats a matter of choice. I just soak them overnight in water in the fridge and i have found no difference. Id rather save my milk..lol. but i do like cutting my catfish into fish sticks or chunks. They cook faster and evenly. But thats my choice. Good catching

I got the regulations and read them before I went out today. I caught 2 catfish and 2 sunfish at the Milton fishing pier. Kept the catfish and released the sun fish. In Delaware you’re not supposed to release the catfish since they are a invasive species. I’m sure the catfish will taste muddy but who care, not going to waste them.

Thanks for your comments and advice.

Those arent blue catfish or flatheads which are invasive. More like bullheads but still good to eat. As for soaking in milk..save your milk and just soak over night in cold water in the fridge..no difference in my opinion..but make your own choice

Thanks DC. We fished for a few hours until i picked up the 20 incher..lots of pick ups but no takers. We moved around and found a big area where they were feeding and limited out fairly quick , about 3 to 4 hours into our trip. We had no shorts. Ive been out there and 6 of us caught over 100 fish before we got a limit. So i guess it was good

Took the guys out on one of our yearly striper trips Saturday. Lots of fish around just had to wait them out til they wanted to feed then got our 10 fish limit in about an hour. Nice fat 24 inch fish mostly. Except i got the first one about 20 inches. Beautiful day on the water.

Our catch

I caught one back in the late 80s down in Hatteras. Hadnt caught one until a few years ago me and another guy probably had over 25 out near the old grounds while flounder fishing. Seems they have moved into our near shore waters in great numbers. I see almost every seebass trip headboats are catching a few.
