We had two great days of fishing with two of my sons here at Fort Peck Mt. At was a rough start as my outboard main drive shaft decided to snap in half and my youngest son volunteered to drive back to north Dakota and bring his boat.
Fishing was slow but we caught some great northern pike, walleye, lake trout and small mouth bass.
Three personal bests for me and two for one son.
Lakers to 13lbs, walleye to 9lbs, 14lb northern pike, 4.5lb small mouth bass.
I'm having some trouble with the photos loading but we will see how it works.

Here is a set of plans I drew up to make a set of power poles for a bass boat. I bought the pipes to make it but haven't got around to it yet. Once I get my pontoon boat finished and get my new outboard mounted my bass boat I will be making these up.

What you guys think? Anyone see any flaws in my idea?

The basic idea is each pipe will fit loosely in the next one so a ring that fits tight to the pipe can be glued to the top and bottom of each section so they will not come apart. I plan to use an old windshield wiper motor as a winch to raise and lower it. It should anchor to 10 foot deep.

I'm in the process of building a pontoon boat to fish out of using 2 in. builders foam board and 3/8" plywood. It will use an old set of wheels off a lawn mower and a PVC pipe across the front so it can be rolled down to the water like a wheel barrel. I have been taking pictures as I go and hope to put together a tutorial when I get it gone. I'm currently gluing the pontoon together and just about done with them. When I get it all done I will be covering the foam with that is called poor-mans fiberglass to protect it from getting beat up. So far I have just 1 sheet of plywood I paid $26 for and 4 damaged foam boards that I got all of them for 20 bucks. I bought a case of 3m super 77 spray foam adhesive for another $42, so I/m into it less than 100 bucks so far. I have a used 45 lb. thrust foot controlled trolling motor for it and a gas 3 hp Nissan outboard that it very very light to put on the back. Without the motors or battery on this it should be less than 75 pounds I also plan to run 1/4" all thread through the pontoons with large washers and nuts on each side as a safety measure. This will just fit in the back of my pickup to make transportation easy.
