Yep, been there, done that. I even got bored and sit on the tub and fished the toilet. If you flush it......Oh, I won't tell that story.
Gosh, guys, thanks for the welcome. I'll answer as these came in. OJ; Tricks, tip and pics I havea few. Stories, I have a lot. Papa; I a PawPaw, too. I live just south of Decatur. From a lake to a creek, a bathtub to a toilet, if it has water, it's my favorite. I try to not get locked in on any one spot. Have truck and 'yak trailer. Will travel. Cowboy; I've been through N. Calif. and Nevada. It's not the same country we have here. We're basically "flat landers". We catch large mouth bass, crappie, catfish and bream(we call 'em perch). You have sturgin and trout. I've done both, but, you dance with the one that brung ya. And I was brung up on these four. I'm sure glad ya got ya a 'yak. I am very lucky. Draw a radius of a hunderd mile of my houseand I have almost a hundred spots to go. And I'm finding more. I found one this morning. Katy Lake inear St. Jo.
I knew there had to be a handful of Texans around. Now, when I say "I'm fixin' to go to the laak", I know ya'll will understand. But, just remember, as you drive there, "Muddy side down".
Hey, guys, Lil Mutt here in north central Texas I'm as old as dirt and have all my life. I started out bank running and have gone all the way to tourment fishing. But, I've slowed down to kayaks now. I've found there is no style right or no style wrong about fishing. They all have their place.
Kayaks are my thing for the last couple of years. Like most folks my 'yaks are names. They're called "Half Fast". They surely cause me to fish more slowly and cover what I might have missed with a boat.
I love to talk "fishing" and like everyone, I have an oppinion.
