Wow, wish we had a few weeks here yet. I believe there's a week or so left. We have ice floating down the river, here on the Susquehanna, and you can hold some decoys in behind islands until that freezes up. I grew up on ducks and geese, we had a lot of flight duck and geese back in the 60's and early 70's, the the big flood come along and the river has never been the same. I usually get a lite rod out and head to the small streams for native trout. I can spend several hours out when they a biting. Also, look for turkey sign, spring gobbler is just around the corner.
