That’s how I’ve always fished w both baitcaster and spinning rod seems like a waste to cast then switch hands cuz like you said timing w flipping is everything

Should’ve said in original post but all fish we catch in that pond come from top water baits mainly poppers

When he was little he saw jimmy Houston I believe kiss a bass and I still catch him giving them a little peck. I love it and if he kept 100 I’d clean them for him just glad to have the time and memories spent together outdoors

Only problem when he goes fishing is he hasn’t seen a fish he doesn’t want to eat. Went in boat one time came home he had 28 bluegills in live well. Lol oh well good eating

Caught this 5.01 on drop shot w 7” power worm. We had 12.10# for our best five good enough for second place
