Didn’t get the big one. 2.5 pounder.
I’m in SE Missouri, Ironton. We have a lot of lakes besides Lake of the Ozarks. My lake is a private 60 acre lake. First man made lake in MO. Concrete and granite boulder dam built about 1910. 10hp limit, quiet, and good fishing. Keep an open mind and look around a lot when you are ready to move. Little dock fishing this evening. Broken leader let a large catfish get away. I’m on the hunt for a catfish with a hook in its lip tomorrow. Good Luck getting out this way.
Hello Sidewinder, where in the world of Missouri did you end up dropping anchor.
I don’t think perch is a specific fish. It is a family of types of fish. A fishing regulation would be more specific. Example with large mouth bass is a member of the sunfish family. A long eared sunfish and a LMB regulation would have be two regulations not one sunfish regulation.
Try top water baits. I had success in a similar situation with a whopper popper. My cast was past the bass drawn in slow, then with loose line jiggled the bait. It was at least 5 minutes of jiggling. I think the bass tried to slap the cheese burger and fries away because it was annoyed. Not having arms Mr. Bass ended up with a mouth full of treble hook. Good luck
I had a problem loading also. After choosing the file the attachment button did not seem to work. After letting the phone sit for a couple minutes the file was loaded. Didn’t seem like it was working, but eventually loaded.
Finally after a couple of missed opportunities to land some bass this one hooked up good.
Fished all day for this Rainbow.
Good idea to drill a hole at each end of the crack before attempting any of the good repair suggestions. It will help keep the crack from lengthening. If you do some kind of adhesive, add short pieces of 5 to 10 pound fishing line across the crack set into the glue. Braid or monofilament work great to add structure and lateral strength to the glue.
Great looking fish. How long did it take to bring that fish in?
Welcome Jim. I am fairly new on the Stage, but can tell you you are at the right place. Lots of knowledge and friendly advice here.
Anyone try the ibobber? Reads out on iphone and you cast it out with a fishing pole.
