I don't think that it was a shark or a ray. After the initial run it mellowed out and was coming up nicely. Both rays and sharks will fight all the way up.

I think that I messed up and didn't keep enough pressure on when I was clearing the rail so we could gaff it.

That's a nice Halibut!!! Too bad about the others but you got to learn sometimes the hard way. I am willing to bet you don't lose any more!!!

Thanks Ben, I certainly hope not. It was very frustrating and disappointing.

Yeah, but you're still going to have to bat 100% for quite a while before we quit ribbing you😜.

The good news is that K has calmed down enough to let you back on your boat (but you may want to slip him a couple gummies just to be on the safe side).
