Rather good follow up from yesterday.

Funny how retirement is when 10 years ago I thought it would be sit back and relax.

Nope, moss grows on the shady side and I much prefer the sunshine.

Get a move on FS Users, time is too short to waste.

Not being pressed by the clock is relaxing enough. To stop altogether is not acceptable and definitely not fun. Never stop going forward, never stop learning, never stop giving, never stop growing, never stop loving! While there is life there is hope.

I can't wait for the day I can turn the phone off and ignore the clock.. The thought involves much more lake time!!

Not being a slave to the clock is a high form of freedom.

And where there is hope, life thrives.

I remember the day! Got laid off so filed for unemployment and Social Security on April 1 2009 and never looked back. Was in Austin, Tx so fished year round and in three bass clubs. I did work at KFC for 5 years then at DQ for five years. Ate pretty well if not so healthy. Started out 20 hours a week then down to 12 when shoulder and back pain made it tough. Gotta stay busy.

Apparently that's my problem, I stopped altogether. Anyone want to buy a nice fishing boat and fishing gear?

The only thing I lack is the funds and the transportation.

Spent over 40 years as a piece worker trying to stay ahead of the clock. Now I'm retired and can't take not doing anything. Fixing things, fishing and now that hunting season is here makes me happy. How much do you want for your boat, motor and trailer Greg ?

I'm busier now than when I was working BUT it is what I want to do when I want to do it.
