Using chicken livers and fishing a the mouth of a feeder creek that dumps into the little kanawha.

Makes for a great day of fishing and wonderful meal... What a winning combination...
Now there is nothing better than catching a nice bunch of catfish and having fresh fried fish. Ya make me hungry now.
Nice1 and Tight lines buddy!
Well, one of the few times we quit fishing, not because we had to leave, or that it was getting dark, but because we had caught all the catfish we wanted to clean! This was in the ship channel and along that water way is a gain elevator and the catfish were thick and just lolling around getting fat on the corn that blew off the structure. We had been after trout, but it was windy and my wife could not cast far enough to reach the school of trout that were moving too fast. Our guide said, "do you like to catch catfish?" While the guide was cleaning our catch, I wandered down and was talking to a family who were crabbing. It turned out the father was on disability from an accident and they wanted the crabs to eat. I wound up giving about half our catch to them. So as a tip, don't overlook these grain structures, they might be a gold mine!RJS
