A friend of mine always says that once you use tackle in saltwater, you should not use it in freshwater because the scent /taste of salt will repel freshwater fish. I always rinse my tackle well after fishing in saltwater, but am wondering if there is anything truth to this. Has anyone heard this reasoning before? I've looked around the internet and haven't found anything but it makes enough sense to seem possible.

No there is not any truth to it whatsoever.

Senkos are infused with salt. Never heard anyone claim that senkos repel fish.

Lets try this. Saltwater hell on freshwater hooks! So no freshwater tackle is not saltwater ready! Can be used just note rusty hooks and eyelet problems so no lost fish to tackle failure.
