Took a friend to my church (Lake Almanor)yesterday. It was beautiful with a 2 to 4 mph breeze. By the time I found the fish and created a pattern it was 11am. That’s when almost everyone else heads back to the dock. We were back at the dock at 3pm. It was red hot when we left getting doubles etc. we released a half a dozen Browns and Bows and kept limits of nice fish for the smoker. I had to keep 1Brown as it swallowed the hook and was bleeding from the gills. Otherwise I like to release all Browns.

That's some nice trout you caught. I see you take your sun protection serious. Good for you.

Alright Steve, those are some mighty fine fish. One of these days I've gotta get up there with you and you can show me how to catch some fish.🤠👍

That is a rod on the down rigger. The ones I kept were between 3.5 and 6.5 lbs

Another thing that I love about Almanor is the Trout meat. It looks like fresh King Salmon that have been eating krill. I’ve caught trout in every stream and lake from here to Yosemite and have never seen meat like Almanor Trout
