I live in Blue Ridge. If you got a kayak my suggestion would be to put in at Persimmon Creek at the head of the lake, and kayak up to Tilley Bend in the noutg of the Toccoa River. Awesome spot for Large mouth and Rainbow trout. If you have a way for someone to drop you out at a separate place from your vehicle, park at Persimmon Creek and get dropped off at The Rocks on the side of Aska Rd, all that is good fishing and be going down stream all the way back to persimmon Creek.

I suggest entry below dam east of town.....great fishing next 6 to 8 miles. Or put in at the midpoint takeout area....forgot name....paddle up stream a bit and fish drifting back.....

Ozzie, that's actually where I caught the only brown trout I've ever caught, on that stretch your referring too, barely over 18" and caught it on a rapala bass lure. Good trout fishing all over that stretch tho.

Edited 18" instead of original 20" apparently dad thinks my memory was slightly exaggerated 🤣

I have a cabin in Blue Ridge but health issues interfering with ability to get up there and use it right now.....but did ok on Toccoa in previous drift boat trips.
