Pascal’s Wager

Do you believe in God? Or do you wonder how anyone could believe in God? Well, look at Pascal’s wager, or his challenge to whether one should, or should not belief in a Creator God! The following is a way, even without physical evidence.

His Wager goes like this: No one can opt out, they must choose!

If you hold this belief and do your best to be obedient, then after death,
You will live with all the other believers in Paradise.

If in fact, there is no God:
Believers will die without either any reward or punishment.

If, in fact, there is no God:
Unbelievers will be in the same state as Believers.

If there is a God:
Unbelievers will live forever in eternal punishment in Hell!
So, it is obvious that whether there is, or is not, a living Creator, you are far better off living as a believer.

I used to get emails from a friend who always ended with:
" I'd rather live my life believing there is a God and finding out there isn't than living my life believing there isn't a God and finding out there is".

I do believe in Him.

Amen. You have nothing to lose and an eternity in Heaven to gain.
It’s a no-brainer!
(Believer being the key word, here. It IS a prerequisite!)

We must be careful just believing. Gods Word says the devil believes and trembles. It’s believing that God says you’re a sinner; all have sinned. That payment for that sin is eternal separation in Hell. The Lake of Fire that’s prepared for Satan and his angels. But God commended His live towards us by sending God the Son, Jesus Christ to pay our sin debt at Calvary. Our belief in Gods Word stating such, and accepting Jesus as our personal Savior is Bible believing in God.

I appreciate the fact that you are one who is also not afraid to tell the truth of what the Bible says. Some call it condemning or attacking others,
when all it is, is relaying the message of truth that is in God’s Word. Those that say these things, must not understand that we don’t have the power, nor the desire to condemn
ANYONE. That is God’s job, and His only… but in the end, He WILL DO, just that at judgement time. 🙏🏻

Appreciate the kind words. I don’t mean to put anyone on this stage or anywhere else down. I just want to encourage others to believe in God but look a little farther in to Biblical belief. Genesis is a book of beginning. That’s how all seen came to be, but salvation is promised to fallen mankind in chapter three. Then we find the history of God dealing by Grace with His people; their rises and falls; prophets and kings; but a picture and promise of that coming Savior; found in every chapter of the OT. Then He comes and preaches to a lost world; Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. That’s the Gospel message, and the only time it is preached personally to the natural man; and preached by man’s personal Savior, Jesus Christ, God the Son. Then come the Epistles; preached to the born-again believers, who have formed churches. Each Epistle, or letter, was preached/ written to individual churches, but natural man can still hear the Gospel message in their content, though not preached directly to them. Satan would love for natural man to only believe in God, but it must go deeper. Acceptance of our fallen condition, then acceptance of God’s/our personal Savior, Jesus, for our salvation is the only sure way for eternity, which is coming to us all. He, Son of man, Jesus, was sent to seek and to save that which was lost. Lu19:10. I am only His messenger, take no credit for self, but only wish others to have the lively hope (know so-not hope so) that myself and others have found in Him.

The thing this seems to assume, is that we can decide what to believe. It has to make sense to us to believe anything.

God has created man. But God has never taken away man’s right of choice. The Bible reveals Gods mind to a limited extent. That being said, it’s the only book that reveals our spiritual state, and God’s spiritual remedy. What we choose to believe, or not to believe, is our own right. So no one will end up in a damned separated state without having made that choice. Ours to gain or to loose.
